Parla il Prof. Vithoulkas, consulente dell’OMS per le Medicine Alternative

Riportiamo di seguito il testo di un’intervista rilasciata dal Prof. George Vithoulkas al giornalista Peter Clotten del settimanale tedesco “Aachenen Nachrichten” e pubblicata il 20 gennaio 2001. Data l’importanza delle argomentazioni, riportiamo il testo tradotto in italiano e l’intervista in versione originale, in lingua inglese

George Vithoulkas è oggi considerato il maggiore omeopata del mondo. Nel 1996 è stato insignito dal Parlamento svedese del prestigioso Premio Nobel alternativo per la salute. Egli è il capofila della famosa Accademia Internazionale di omeopatia classica che insegna a centinaia di medici di ogni parte del mondo i lavori del geniale medico tedesco Samuel Hahnemann. E’ stato nominato professore all’Accademia medica di Kiev ed è anche un aiuto-professore alla facoltà di medicina dell’Università Basca in Spagna. Nell’anno 2000 è stato insignito della medaglia d’oro della democrazia ungherese dal presidente di quella nazione. Ha il titolo di professore honoris causa dell’accademia medica di Kiev.

Domanda: Mr. Vithoulkas, tutti i governi d’Europa appaiono sorpresi di sentire che le armi all’uranio impoverito sono pericolose. Lei pensa che sia possibile che chi ha rivestito posti di responsabilità non sapessero nulla prima di decidere di utilizzare quelle armi?

Risposta: Penso che sapessero qualcosa sul problema ma che non conoscessero il reale pericolo. E’ ovvio, dalle informazioni che stanno emergendo ogni giorno, che sono stati messi fuori strada dal capo del dipartimento di Stato Madelene Albright, che annunciò che non c’era pericolo e che fu la persona che più spinse per l’uso di queste armi.

Domanda: Scienziati di fama affermano ora che le armi all’uranio impoverito non sono pericolose per l’uomo e che non possono causare leucemie e cancro, patologie riscontrate in soldati già morti o malati.

Risposta: Ci sono scienziati altrettanto riconosciuti e in numero ancora maggiore che affermano l’opposto. Dipende da quale tipo di strumenti di ricerca si usano e anche dalla sensibilità di questi strumenti per misurare accuratamente le radiazioni alfa. Rimane il fatto che i soldati che sono entrati in contatto con l’uranio impoverito nella Guerra del Golfo si sono ammalati in un numero altissimo. Fino al 1998 il numero delle vittime negli Usa tra i veterani era di 110.000. Questi soldati erano stati visitati prima ed erano risultati sanissimi, in grado di essere inviati nel Golfo. Su 700.000 uomini sani che partirono per il Golfo, circa il 20% è oggi gravemente e cronicamente malato, oltre alle migliaia che sono già morti. Questi sono fatti che nessuno ha mai negato. E’ interessante vedere che il numero delle vittime aumenta anno per anno. Le persone malate e morte dopo la guerra in Kossovo anche nel breve tempo mostrano che le vittime si moltiplicano velocemente anno dopo anno. Noi dobbiamo dire che il quadro generale è confuso da numerosi fattori.
1. I soldati el Golfo erano vaccinati contro i gas velenosi e l’antrace. Questa vaccinazione indebolisce gravemente il loro sistema immunitario. Poi arriva l’esposizione alle radiazioni dell’uranio impoverito che completa il lavoro e lascia un alto numero di persone invalide o morte.
2. Un’altra ragione di confusione è che le radiazioni non causano solo la leucemia e non immediatamente. Esse intaccano l’intero organismo, il sistema nervoso, centrale e periferico, quello linfatico, quello vascolare, i reni e in generale hanno un globale effetto negativo sull’intero organismo. Abbiamo una azione ritardata fino a che le particelle non vengono ingerite in grande numero e in questo caso abbiamo un effetto nocivo drammatico e immediato. Se vogliamo comunque misurare il reale effetto delle radiazioni dobbiamo aspettare da cinque a dieci anni e osservare l’indebolimento dell’intero sistema immunitario. Sono preoccupato poiché il risultato di questa guerra sarà una storia molto triste da ricordare per l’umanità.

Domanda: Cosa pensa che si dovrebbe fare?

Risposta: La cosa principale da fare per le persone responsabili e i politici è di capire e riconoscere il problema. Poichè gli americani decideranno da sé senza consultare le Nazioni Unite e senza informare realmente i loro partner, rischieranno di trovarsi da soli ad affrontare il problema. Se i governanti europei formassero un fronte unito sul problema, vedrebbero il potere dell’opinione pubblica americana e come velocemente potrebbero mandare la Albright davanti ad un tribunale di guerra per crimini di guerra. Un’altra azione immediata che dovrebbe essere fatta è di spedire queste tonnellate di uranio impoverito sulla luna e non pensare di sistemarle da qualche parte su questo pianeta. Altrimenti il pianeta di estinguerà se arriverà ad essere totalmente inquinato. Il costo per l’invio sulla luna sarebbe minore del costo del caos totale, della sofferenza e alla fine dell’estinzione dell’intero pianeta.

Domanda: L’uso di uranio impoverito è pericoloso solo per i soldati o può avere effetti a lungo termine sulle persone che vivono nelle aree “inquinate”?

Risposta: Non ci sono dubbi sul fatto che gli effetti rimarranno per generazioni e che le persone che andranno a vivere lì, nelle aree bombardate, si ammaleranno nel lungo periodo. La questione di chi si ammalerà e chi no dipenderà dalla forza del sistema immunitario di ciascun individuo. L’organismo può eventualmente sviluppare meccanismi di difesa contro questo tipo di inquinamento, ma questo succederà tra alcune generazioni.

Domanda: Può questo inquinamento entrare nella catena alimentare e nell’acqua e raggiungere i mercati internazionali e i supermarket in Germania (la stessa domanda la si potrebbe porre per l’Italia, ndt)?

Risposta: Assolutamente sì. Non c’è nessuno che si dovrebbe sentire al sicuro in Europa dopo quanto è accaduto in Kossovo. Gli animali che pascolano con vegetali inquinati, la verdura e l’acqua che è stata inquinata può entrare nella catena alimentare e nell’industria che non vada tanto a questi problemi e alla protezione, quindi cibo contaminato potrebbe essere venduto in Germania (quindi anche in Italia, ndt), in Norvegia, in Svezia. Oggi le origini di un prodotto sono così poco riconoscibili che nessuno può essere certo della sua provenienza. Il problema è che noi al momento attuale non abbiamo strumenti abbastanza sensibili per testare il cibo contro questi pericoli. E’ solo quando vediamo che i casi di cancro aumentano che torniamo indietro a ricercare cosa può essere accaduto.

Domanda: La guerra in Kossovo è il peggior prezzo che dobbiamo pagare?

Risposta: Nella guerra del Kossovo l’Europa non ha vinto nulla. Solo gli americani hanno ottenuto di aumentare la loro influenza su quell’area (specialmente in Albania) e a pagare è stata la gente locale che loro pretendono di aver protetto. Ora l’Europa e i soldati europei devono sopportare le morti e le tragedie individuali e riparare al problemi che la Albright e i suoi militari hanno creato in quell’area.
Quello che è accaduto in Kossovo, se non troverà una sua catarsi come nelle antiche tragedie greche, rimarrà una stigmate del 20° secolo per l’indifferenza mostrata da uomini verso altri uomini. E una predizione: se le misure di cui ho parlato non saranno prese immediatamente, vedremo presto lo scenario che all’epoca della tragedia greca ha vissuto la Grecia.

George Vithoulkas is today considerate the leading homeopath of the world.
In 1996 he was awarded in the Swedish parliament with the prestigious Alternative Nobel Prize for Health.
He is the Dean of the famous International Academy of Classical Homeopathy teaching to hundereds of medical doctors from all over the world, the works of the genious German physician Samuel Hahnemann.
He has been nominated as professor in the Kiev Medical Academy and also a collaborating professor in the medical Faculty at the Basque University in Spain.
In Year 2000 was awarded with the Gold Medal of the Hungarian Democracy by the President of the Country.
He has the Title of Professor Honoris Causa from the Kiev Medical Academy.

Mr. Vithoulkas, all over Europe the Governements seem to be surprised on the Danger of Depleted Uranium weapons. Do you think it is possible that the people in charge did not know about it before they decided to use such weapons?

I think that they knew something about it but not the real danger. It is obvious, from information that is coming out every day, that they were misled by the head of the state department Madelene Albright, who was claiming that there was no danger and who was the main person in pushing these type of weapons.

Recognised scientists claim now that depleted uranium is not dangerous for human beings, and that it cannot cause leucemias and cancer as it is the case with the already dead and sick soldiers.

There are equaly recognised and even more in number scientists who claim the opposite. Depends on what type of testing device you are using and also whether we have yet sensitive enough device for measuring accuretly the Alpha radiation.
The fact remain that the soldiers who came in contact with it in the Gulf War got severely sick.Until 1998 the number of victims in USA veterans was 110.000. These soldiers were tested before and found very healthy in order to be sent to the war. Out of the 700.000 of the healthy young man went to the Gulf almost 20% are today severely and chronically ill, apart from thousands of deaths that took place already.
These facts nobody denies.
It is interesting to see that the number of the victims increased year by year .
The sick and dead people after the Kossovo war even after a very short time shows that the victims will be multiplied fast year after year.
We must say here that the whole issue is confused by several factors.
1. The soldiers in the Gulf War where vaccinated against poisonous gasses and anthrax . This vaccination severaly depleted their immune system . Then came the exposure to the radiation from depleted uranium that completed the work and left so many people dead and invalid

2. Another reason for confusion is that radiation does not cause only leucemia and not immediatly. It affects the whole organism, the nervous system, central and periferal, the lymphatic, the vasculat, the kidneys, and in general has a global negative effect upon the whole of organism.

It has a delayed action unless the particles are ingested in great numbers in which case we have a poisonous effect which is dramatic and immediate. If we want therefore to measure the real effect of the radiation we must wait for five to ten years and look on the depletion of the whole immune system. I am afraid that the net result of this war will be a very sad story for humanity to remember.

What do you think should be done?

The main thing is for the responsible people, the politicians, to understand and to recognise the problem.
Since the Americans decided by themeselves without consulting the United Nations and without informing really their partners on the war that they the americans should stay there alone to clean up the mess.
If the European Governements form a united front on this matter , they will see the power of the public opinion in USA and how quickly they will send Albright to a war tribunal for war crimes.
Another immediate action that should be taken is to send these tons of depleted uranium to the moon and not contemplating to despose them in different places of this planet. Otherwise the planet will be extinct if it is totally polluted. The cost of sending it to the moon will be less than the cost of total chaos, suffering and finally extinction of all life in this planet.

Is the use of depleted uranium only dangerous for the affected soldiers or may have a long time influence of the people living in area?

There is no question that the effects will stay for generations, and the people who are going to live there, in the bombarded areas will be affected on the long run.
The whole issue, of who is going to be affected and who will not it will depend on the strenght of the immune system of each individual.
The organism may eventually develop mechanism of defending against this type of pollution but something like that will happen within few generation.

Can the pollution go in the food chain and in the water and reach the international market and the super-markets of Germany?

Absolutely. There is no body who should feel safe in Europe after what happened in Kossovo. The animals that feed on polluted vegetation, the vegetables and the water that have been affected could go to the food chain and industry that does not care about hygiene and protection and such affected food can be sold in Germany, in Norway or Sweden. Today the origin of a product can so easily masked so nobody can find out where it came from.
The problem is that at the moment we do not have enough sensitive devices to test the food for such dangers. It is only when we see the cancers increasing the chronic conditions exploding that we turn back to find out what really happened.

Was the Kossovo war worth the price we seem to pay now.

In the Kossovo war Europe gained nothing. Only the Americans managed to increase their influence upon this area (especially in Albania) at the cost of the local people whom they pretended that they wanted to protect. Now Europe and their soldiers will have to bear all the deaths and individual tragedies in clearing up the mess that Albright and her military advisors created in the area.

What happened in Kossovo, if it does not find its lyssis through catharsis, as in the ancient Greek tragedies, will remain as a stigma of the 20th century for the indifference and calouses of human beings towards their fellow humans. And a prediction: if such measures as I mentioned are not taken immediatly, then we are going to see soon the repeatition of the scenarios envolving Greece as well this time.
